Third Rail Measurement Technology

The Third Rail Measurement System (TRMS) developed by KLD Labs uses a combination of laser and high speed cameras to provide dimensional data and high-resolution rail profiles of both the running rail and third rail at track speeds. The data is acquired and processed in real-time for assessing and monitoring the relative running rail/third rail lateral and vertical position for quality control of running rail/third rail geometry.
